LILIAS & OLIVE was founded by JoBeth McElhanon in 2018, bringing together a career shaped by leadership, service and hospitality with a lifelong appreciation for beautiful celebrations.

Before founding Lilias & Olive, JoBeth spent more than a decade in healthcare and nonprofit leadership, building experience in strategic planning, financial management, community engagement and organizational leadership. That background continues to inform her approach today—pairing creativity with thoughtful planning, careful stewardship of a client’s investment and an ability to manage the countless details required to bring an exceptional event to life.

Known for a timeless, refined aesthetic and an instinct for gracious hospitality, JoBeth approaches each celebration as an opportunity to tell a story. Rather than simply creating something beautiful, she looks for the details that make an event personal—the people, traditions, places and experiences that matter most to her clients—and thoughtfully weaves them throughout the celebration.

The result is an experience that feels polished but never impersonal, distinctive without being overdone, and above all, genuinely reflective of the people being celebrated.
